  1. This readme file contains general instructions and information about the CDROM in Table 1.
  2. CDROM contents are in Table 2.

  4. Table 1. General Instructions for the Program

  6. INSTALLATION
  7. Click on Start.
  8. Run Setup.exe on the CDROM and follow the instructions.
  9. You may be requested to update selected files.  This is required.
  10. The program will be installed in Seismic Design with an executable 
  11. file named Seismic Design.exe.
  12.  
  13. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  14. A PC (or compatible) with Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT.
  15. Pentium Processor with 32 MB of RAM,  200 MHZ recommended.
  16. A minimum screen resolution of at least 800 x 600.
  17. A hard drive with 30 MB of available for installing the software.

  19. OPERATION
  20. Click on Start.  Click on Programs.  Select Seismic Design from the
  21. Programs list or place an icon on the Desktop.

  23. FILES
  24. Random Access Data files are in the directory MCE97Data on the CD.
  25. PDF Map files are in the directory MCE97Maps on the CD.  Adobe 
  26. Acrobat is required to view the maps.  Acrobat Reader version 4 is 
  27. included on the CD.  This version is recommended for maximum 
  28. benefit in viewing and printing of the PDF map files.

  32. Table 2. Contents
  33. Acrobat_Reader     - Contains Acrobat Reader for installing.  Run the program and follow instructions, accept defaul file locations.
  34. Documentation       -   Contains FEMA302 and 303 in PDF format.  Contains a User Guide in PDF and WPD format
  35. MCE97ASCIIdata - Contains ASCII files for all gridded data.
  36. MCE97DATA       - Contains random access gridded data for use by the software.
  37. MCE97MAPS       - Contains PDF files for all maps used by the software.
